For the past days i have never seen STIX(pleco) eat anything before. Other than oscars and goldfishes that i have had in the past how the hell am i suppose to tell if the poor thing is eating or not?

Well I can tell you how to tell if he's hungry you can look at his belly when he's on the glass if its caved in a lot then that means he's hungry.

Yes there is hikari and some other brands make algae wafers that sink to the bottom and most plecos love and its more balanced nutrition for plecos.Read the thread on what foods to feed plecos too I don't remember exactly what the title is but it should still be somewhere near the top.

i have the same problem with my mango.
looks like its refusing to eat anything i offered.
i tried, algae wafers, sinking pellets and frozen bloodworms.
it looks kind of skinny compared to the rest.
should i put that fellow into another tank all by itself so that it won't need to compete for food???

lildunn, the kind of food you are feeding your pleco is entirely inappropriate. Your fish may eat it, but only if it is very hungry.
Get some wafers, or consult the loricariid feeding thread and get other ideas for suitable foods.
