I'm pretty sure this guys is a eupteus, but his coat pattern & barbles just seem a little bit different then the last one I had :)

This is certainly not , I'd go for a farm raised hybrid with origins doubtful but maybe S. nigrita or perhaps S. ocellifer.

That's not an ocellifer. It's a hybrid of this variety.

His body doesn't look that deep though :| Maybe he's just underfed?

I'm going to pick him up I guess :) (nice addition to my clown loach tank) if he's still available so I'll try and get some clearer pics of him then.

thanks :D

I should have guessed he would have tried to have you guys ID him :D

I guess I'll just have to make up a species for him :? That's too bad to hear he's a hybrid I much prefer wild-types but he'll still have a nice home :D

Any special care tips involved with this guy? He's going into a 120 with clown loaches, tinfoil barbs, common goldfish (one Shubykin) and a sailfin pleco. I had originally envisioned the tank as a perfect Indonesian Replica but that would deny my habit of picking up strays :D

Uh oh :)

2 of them are adults so I wouldn't worry about them, but I'll definetly keep an eye on the aggression.

He was picking on the plecos in his other tank (a 33 and 2 other plecos) but I wasn't worried about that because my sailfin got kicked out of her last owners place for picking on the other plecos so I figured they'd balance each other out
