Severe injury

Post by Evan »

I looked in my tank today and saw a cory on its back and decided not to leave it for the pl*cos. I took it out and saw 2 wounds on either side of it and its my synos mouth. Hes killed lemon tetras balas a betta a tire track eel and maybe a cory. The wounds are bleeding but not alot. I took him out and need to know the best way to treat him. I was thinking setting up a 21/2 gallon tank with a small heater they sell at the store and treating with melafix and tetracycline. Should I put a few other cories with him or will he be OK. Also why the hell is my S. eurupterus or however the hell you spell it a mass murderer? Thanks in advance, Evan.

edit: Anyone? Plz.....

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It worries me because I have a rather large eupterus 6" who is also housed with many cories and a few feeder minnows. He has eaten some of the minnows but he seems very calm and sweet to the other fish (hence his name is "mello yellow"). Is this how your fish behaves?
