I just got a new Pictus (named Jitters) he was very active when he first arived in my tank. The last few days he has started getting bends in his wiskers and sulking about the bottom of my tank. Tonight I saw a redeye tetra dragging him around the tank by his whiskers. I think my Cat is sick what should I do?

What's your water parameters?
If you look at the sticky post at the top of for instance the Loriciriidae(sp) or Corydoras section, you will find a bunch of water parameters that you should check.
Most important, short term at least, is the Nitrite and Ammonia levels. Also pH and Nitrate levels are useful starting points.
Usually your LFS will be able to test the levels for you if you take a small sample of water in.
In the meantime, try a 25-40% water change and see if the fish perks up a bit.
Of course, it may be too late by now...

I would have thought these guys are pretty hardy. around here they are a little pricey for being so common although I got mine really cheap. How big is he if your red eye tetra is dragging him around? Mine like to "cyclone" the water at feeding time. They swim in a fast tight circle together and all the food collects and then they go into a feeding frenzy, almost like little sharks. They don't stop eating...ever, or moving for that matter and they aren't shy. If he's small I'd consider moving him into another tank to recouperate and give him a little TLC. All my guys get a bit of everything possible, they even love the seaweed...I find them to be the easiest because they'll eat anything and withstand a lot. I hope it works out for you and Jitters. Good luck.
