Hi, recently I buyed a L128, it's very nice, but i'd like to know if it's a very shy fish or not. I have 3 l260 "queen arabesque", I liked them a lot, but I never see them, and I prefer other fishes like L081 or ancistrus sp, less shy and more actives during the daytime. Is l128 a fish easy to see during the day? is it very shy?

Hi there,
I have 2 of these fish in a tank with a high fin L200 and various bristlenoses and a L146.
The tank also has a shoal of cardinal tetra's and a shoal of rummy nosed tetra's.
Althoigh my L128 are only about 4 inches they are straight out onto courgette or potato when it is put in the tank.
The y do not seem too shy at all, but they are not housed with any particulary big fish
cheers
Stu

In my opinion, it is not too shy a fish. I have an 8" that I have had for abotu a year now, and although he doesn't come out often, it doesn't differ much from my other L numbers. My L-46 come out more often, but that is because they are pigs and any sort of food drives them into frenzies. With this fish, it seems to like its seclusion a bit more, and is a lot more likely to come out if provided with plenty of spaces to dart back into, and not overly bright lighting. Or at least, this has been my experience.
