I ran across this while doing a Google search on hoplos:

One more species nobody must ever release. It made me wonder whether Corydoras paleatus or aeneus have become established in Florida or elsewhere. They actually can survive the winter in outdoor ponds here in Britain (although it amounts to cruel treatment).
