A few more hours and the convention starts for me (I'm getting on the plane to Baltimore).
Might as well start the thread early, eh?

HH and I stayed up talking fish until 2:30 this morning!
Off to the fish stores and Aquarium with Steve Pritchard, HH, and Dave Snell. Should be fun.

Tell Steve I'm going to really bad-mouth him at the BCA AGM this weekend!
Ask him if he's taken a copy of the video yet also (he'll know what it means...)

A bunch of Hisontous leucofrenatus (couldn't resist at $1.99 a pop), a juvenile Brachyrhamdia that was a contaminant in a tank of otos (I'll grow this up to see what species it is), and an ugly ol' contaminant Astyanax.
Saw some Batasio havmolleri (which included a very gravid female), and was sorely tempted to pick them up. But then, Ingo's supposed to be bringing me some from Achim...

Hi All~

Ian has just finished his talk on Corydoradinae and Ingo's just about to start on Ancistrinae. Not a moment to waste! Just dumped some pix on Rusty's laptop (wireless is GREAT!) of some madtoms we collected and also of the gang _late_ last night...

Wish you were ALL here.

Jools

PS Hey, Rusty, gonna post some pics? :-)

It's just about time for bed for me. Close to 2 AM. I guess I cannot hang like I used too. Just wanted to say that it was great meeting everyone and I have truly had a wonderful time. Just make sure that you are not bidding against me in tomorrows auction.

It is already Sunday (can you believe it!) and I think no one has slept more than 5 hours a night since Wednesday. Jools, HH, Ingo, Stephen Tanner and I hit a pet store today so Ingo could pick up some Batasio havmolleri (yes, I was jealous). The convention is now coming to close with today's auction. I saw HH off to the airport and it was sad. Before the convention I had not seen him in 6 years. I hope we do not wait this long again.
Lots of talk around about doing this again... I hope some group follows through. Whitepine, Jools brought me Guinness directly from Scotland.

Just got home a couple of hours ago. What a great weekend. I wish everyone form PC could have attended. I hope this becomes an annual event. All the guys were up late into the evening talking catfishes. PC was well represented at the convention. Have to put my new acquisitions into their tanks. Meeting Ian in Brooklyn tomorrow for dinner.

I am now back in Ann Arbor, and all I can say is I had a real blast. It was great meeting everyone from Planet Catfish.
I am already looking forward to the next one (Ian has invited me to the 2006 CSG meeting, but I hope I don't have to wait that long).
