Hi!

Well we are a week-end away form the NFL kick off of a new season...

I wonder who is cheering for and who do you think will go to the Superbowl trip in Jacksonville in January?

Personnally I have been a long time Raiders fan, the did ok in draft and free agency but did really fix it all... the D-line has been upgraded a bit but the Lb corps has really taken a blow in the offseason... I ll be happy in the can make it over the .500 this year and especially beat archy division rivals: Broncos, Chiefs and Chargers

I would like to see the Panthers go up to the bowl game and bring it all back home but the O-line is a beat weak...

As the last 4: I see Colts and Pats for the AFC and Vikes and Eagles for the NFC with The Colts going over the Vikes in the Superbowl!!

I don't think the Patriots will repeat, even though I am a die-hard Pats fan. I was there when others wore paper bags over their heads because they were ashamed to be fans. I can't get around too well anymore, but I'm still cheering them on, like any good New England sports fan(please, do not mention the R*d S*x).

I believe the Pats have relied too much on their method of substituting anybody for any position, and it will catch up with them. I don't know who will win. I always love watching every minute of the draft. I'll never forget the hype surrounding Eric Couch. That's why I never predict! Everybody starts with a clean slate.

These days, I actually prefer to watch my tanks and meditate. I have a lot of physical pain and when I watch our finned friends, it seems to feel a bit better. It's more difficult to watch the NFL as the years go by. I feel their pain.

It seems we get stuck with people on tv playing poker these days. I wish we could see cricket....or more animals eating crickets!

Odd, this topic mentions football (i.e. a game played with the 'foot', or even 'feet') and then goes on to talk about the fact that a bizarre ritual is about to re-commence involving over-padded steroid-monkeys, where a ovoid object (i.e. not even a 'ball') is thrown randomly around to shouts of 'Yeah!'. Whatever next? Are we going to start discussing a 'sport' that has a 'World Series' and yet is only played by, erm, one country?

Ours is called Super Bowl!!!


It is a fun sport... I have played it myself for several years...really enjoyed it... of course it is more enjoyable when you know the rules...

Regarding cricket I found it as boring as watching baseball... the only people wjo can get excited are the ones directly involved in the play and not quite sure about this one...

I know, that's why I asked 'Whatever next?'. There no 'World' in the 'World Series', and there's nothing 'Super' about the 'Super Bowl' Personally I think that any Rugby League team would leave an American 'football' team in need of extensive physical and emotional therapy for several years.

If we are going to be discussing peculiar fringe 'sports', then at least make it bog-snorkelling. Somewhere tropical, with a handnet....(but don't mention Candiru)

Well in the Handnet competition we certainly got one of the world best here... you know a certain P. de R. ... "his ability to catch small grey fish" in water with a handnet always left late Jean-Claude admiring... I shall say that it was Jean Claude who called those little fish as Grey...

I know. Funny, Patrick has never seemed to show much interest in catfish to my knowledge.
I try to keep it quiet around here that I am also interested in certain more advanced Teleosts. How are your Heroina, by the way?

Actually Patrick do own a few... some Hypostomus, some beautiful , , , loads of and some huge ....

not bad for some one not interested in Catfishes...

My Heroina are doing good, the youngs are growing good, I will bring down the first batch to the annual congress of the AFC in Vichy along with some Tahuantinsuyoa macantzatza and Krobia sp "Xingu"

It looks like the Tahuanti pair and Heroina pair are ready to spawn again!!!

Can't wait to be in Vichy... got a few catfishes to pick up and a few cichlids as well, some Bujurquina cf moriorum and some Benitochromis nigrodorsalis

Are you planning in coming to Vichy?
If you interested in any advanced Teleost that I bred, I would be happy to give you some... Is Sonia or Dave planning to come to VIchy as well or any other Uk Adv Teleost nut??

I still don't understand why so many folks in the US have taken an interest in watching people sitting around a table playing poker. Whilst channel surfing one rainy day, I came upon this. A man was sitting at a table, with his cap inside out, his sunglasses upside-down and his chair backwards. I watched for a total of 15 minutes to try to understand. I want to understand. I want to understand the people of the world. Is this popular in other spots in the world?

By the way, the Patriots won, 27-24. McGinest made a huge play at the end of the game. The screaming in the house at 1 am was enough to wake the dead. Never trust my predictions! The fireworks sounded lovely. You can hear them from where I live.

I have missed football so much. When its not in season, there is nothing to watch on the weekends during the day, unless you like basketball (not for me). Any how, I am a huge New Orleans Saints fan. I've had season tickets for the last 8 years. Talk about being a die hard for punishment.

What should I say

My favorits are the Niners,and this Year they lost their Attack ... and the First Game was a loose but not a shame. T. Rattay has made a well done Job.

Hockey is missing, who cares about football? Canadian game is better anyway . . .
