Sexing Hypostomus sp.?

Post by Algaedarling »

Hello all!
I have a L077-Hypostomus sp-and was wondering if there was any known sexual dimorphism between males and females of the genus? Any help you could give me would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi!

Basically you have to look at the genital papilla with these... to have a better idea, it is better if you could have several specimens to compare with...

Cheers

Yann,
Thanks for your fast reply. Is it basically the same as sexing the Pterygoplichthys species?
Thanks,
