Ancistrus dolichopterus & Coloration

Hello all!
Do all Ancistrus dolichopterus display the "white seams"? If not, can you explain to me what effects the developement of the seams? Thank you!

I believe the "white seam" is part of the definition/description of dolichopterus.
So Yes, I believe it should occur, but for rare exceptions.

That is my opinion.
I am often wrong.
