How is it called in usa?
Hello Forum,
I know this is not a fish. It is a small thing that you put in your aquarium add salt and naupli eggs and connect it to an ear pump. 24 hours later you will get small nauplies that enter your tank.
Because i am interested in more informations about that thing that is called in Germany "Naupli Star" I would like to know the name it owns in USA. Best would be the homepage of the manufactor.
thanx for help

I think Thomas wants the name of the piece of equipment, not the contents.
I've seen these sold as "brine shrimp corrals" as in here.

Can't help you with the corral, but if all you want to do is hatch Artemia and feed the nauplii to your fish, you might find this interesting:

IMHO this method is much easier and much better, in every way, than using aerated bottles.

The toil of all that be helps not the primal fault

Hello metallhd
I guess. If it is made by tominaga it was made in Japan.
I was reading throu ebay "fish" and found that thing onder other name "Bine Shrimp in tank feeder"
"OSCAR HATCH AND FEED BRINE SHRIMP HATCHERY" And here we find the name "Oscar" again.
So I guess that it is made in Japan. And I guess that "inter ryba" (the company that imports it to germany) is making good money with this import.
thanx for your support

Hey no problem! Also, in case the English is not clear, yes, they are imported by an American company called Oscar - the link I sent as the Tominaga page is the only one I could find for any sort of wholesaler/distributor, I could not find a Tominaga home page - at least not in English.
Good luck!

you can find info here:

the inherent problem with this contraption is that when you drop the water in your fish tank the salt will come out and sometimes the suction cup wont hold the hatcher, the fish fry will swin in the chamber and get killed and if they dont die they get trapped in the chamber but eventually dies from the salinity, breaks easily specially where the air line is connected not easy to clean and if you have a light source behind the contraption the shrimp dont swim out as well as when the light source is in the front where the exit is, the good part about it is your fish fry will never go hungry if you are out a couple of days this alone is worth my $15
the manufacturer is Tom if I am not mistaken they where bought by oscar Enterprise I think its made in china I have to check to be sure.
