Looks like some kind of
Panaque. Check the
Cat-eLog.

thanks silurus
ive already been through the cat-e-log and found nothin , the guy at the lfs said it was a royal pleco and had it for sale at £22.00 so i bought it but when i goot home and had a look on the net for it at wsnt the same pattern as a royal pleco ,
is it worth £22.00 or should i take it back and tell him its not a royal ???
its size is about 3 inch
thanks

Well, it does look like a royal as far as shape and pattern on the caudal fin is concerned. We need some much sharper pics to be able to tell what it is exactly, though.

I don't see any spots on the body that would suggest L203 (can you?).
Looks like a juvenile LDA65 or something close to me.

Here one Royal costs about 35pounds, so i think it is a fair price...
If you like the fish, don't return it... every panaque is a beuty to me

This is present in many juvenile
Panaque. It'll probably disappear as the fish ages.
