BN's and eco-complete?

Yup, I'm still determined to switch my tank to a planted tank and breed to my bushy nose pair. My question is this. What water type do Bushy Nose plecs come from? If I'm using eco-complete, which I think will buffer the water to something close to black water, I'm not clear on this yet, how will this effect the BN's? My worry is the the eco-complete will buffer the water to parimeters that will make the plecs reluctant to breed.

Thanks!

This depends on the species you have.

This could be really hard to find out. I have a piebald and an albino. I have no idea what variety the albino came from though or where to start with the piebald. Any hints? or do I have to cross my fingers and hope for the best?

I use the eco-complete and I've never noticed it affecting my water parameters at all. It's great for growing plants though!

Did you drain any of the liquid off the eco complete before adding it to the tank?
