Tank for gold nugget

We have had our gold nugget for a year now and he has grown to 2.5 inches

. At the moment he is in a 2 foot tank filtered by an ehiem external 2233 ecco. I realise that he will outgrow the 2 foot tank and am looking at bigger tanks. Would a 36 by 12 inch tank be big enough, we are limited by space as I have 3 other tanks all with plecs

.
He is a large spot gold nugget (L177 I think) that grows to 6 inches.

I forgot to say the tank we are thinking of getting is the Juwel 180 Rio which has a capacity of 180 liters.
