Upside down catfish identification needed please

Post by katyblue »

Hello- I am new here and I am having trouble identifying what kind of upside down catfish I have. I have been told to keep my fish solitary and in a group of three or more. I've been told he will get to be 2" to almost 2 ft. Can someone please help?

He's very shy and small.
TIA!

That's . Click the link to see the relevant entry elsewhere on this site. Though it is reported to grow up to nearly 4" from snout to tail, I've never seen one bigger than say 2.5". Yes, they are best kept in groups of at least 3.

Thank you so much! I will go pick up two more before the lfs sells out of them! They apparently don't get them in too often and don't know the difference between the different varieties when they do!
