Come to think of it, why is there an L600 when we're still in the 300s for L-numbers?

OK... Explaining time...
In Hong Kong and Taiwan(don;t know about other places), There are 2 types of Pseudacanthicus leopardus available on the market. One is the normal L-114 and the other is this Pseudacanthicus cf. leopardus, or L-600. Planetcatfish has some pics, but not the best ones:
http://www.planetcatfish.com/ilibrary/l ... /810_f.htm
Here are more of the L-600:

http://www.rva.ne.jp/gallery/pseudacant ... pardus.htm
http://www.rva.ne.jp/gallary2/pleco/s_orange_fin.htm (Young one, 10cm)
http://www.rva.ne.jp/gallary2/pleco/orange_fin.htm (Same size 10cm, but normal L-114)
For comparasion, the bottom one is L-114 and the second last is L-600:
http://www5.ocn.ne.jp/~sto/plecophotogr ... hicus.html
The L-600 has a darker body. Sometimes so dark it is bluish... L-114 has a very coffe brown body compared. Young specimins are basically THE SAME looking as L-114! But when the grey up, the L-114's pattern sats big for a long time but L-600's grow smaller and smaller till the are very fine.
Another feature is that L-600 have very very red tails in general. Also, more of the tail is red, as shown in the links some have full red tails. Mind you some L-114 have very amzing tails too!
L-600 is a much more expensive pleco than L-114. They are about 3-5 times the price of the L-114....
Now see if you can distinguish between L-600 and L-114

L600 is a rather annoying tradename, it hasn't been "officially" assigned by publication in DATZ.
