I put some blanched courgette in and watched them patiently and sure enough 2 out of 3 started grazing on the courgette! I put this in fornt of their caves so they didnt have to venture out, is this correct? What brand of catfish pellets do you reccomend?

I have to agree, I finally got a hold of some Hikari sinking carnivore pellets as recommended by HH and they are at the very tip-top of the taste chart according to all my meat-eaters!
They are rather expensive here, though, so I alternate with other foods. Shrimp pellets, shredded "krab" (imitation crab meat, recommended on goldfish lists as an acceptable substitute for the fresh shrimp our more coastal friends recommend), bloodworms though I'm getting wary of those now, and the odd slice of zuchinni (courgette) for veg.
Those who feed Hikari are very happy with the long-term results, and the fish certainly lurve it!
