My favorit fish and I don't know what he is. (dial up beware

I got this cat fish about 8 months ago. The LFS told me that he was a Zandawi Catfish. I quickly learned that they don't know what there talking about. I've looked all over the place, this web site and others, books of all sorts and can't find him anywhere. Can someone please tell me what he is? He is my favorite fish and I call him chubs. Unfortunatley, this web site won't let me load a pic off my computer. So here goes a general description.
He is a brownish gray with darker spots (small) all over him. Eyes are set on top and back farther on the head than most, almost like a giraffe cat. long, short fin behind the dorsal. Rounded tail with spots on it also. (his spots are the same all down his body) Thick barbels and a white underside. His mouth is shaped like that of a giraffe cat except that his mouth is bigger and not as long. (I compare him to the giraffe because I have one of those also) His adibos fin (is that right) runs from the base of his dorsal all the way to the base of his tail. And no, I don't know if he is a male or not, I just refer to him that way.
Any help would be very much appreciated. I want to know what he is so I can make sure I'm caring for him properly and hopefully find him a mate.
If you don't know what he is, maybe you could help me narrow down the family and so on so I could have a better chance of finding out.
Thanks is advance.[/img]
