Injured Pangasius Hypopthalmus

Post by Paladindjinn »

Hi, my iridescent somehow hit his head on what i believe was the emperor filter debris catcher, and has a chunk of skin sorta flappin in the air. It looks painful and i am so worries it might get infected or something, is there anything i can do to help him heal or what not.

If it's healthy, it will heal without any need for medication.
Sounds like you need either a bigger tank or a pond.

First time he has ever hurt himself in the 4 years i have had him, and he used 2 be in a 14 gallon. It looked like a freak accident, i was just concerned because it's bright red underneath and it looks kinda bad, it's on the top of his head.

I suggest Melafix. Might not need it, but it won't hurt, and works well with injuries.
