I agree with Heok Hee regarding correct ID for the Mystus. BUT, I beg to differ :
1. Rita gogra
2.Arius dussumieri
3.Mystus armatus
4.Mystus (?) definitely not vittatus, suggestive to bleekei (?) could Beta send another angle of the shot.
5. Ompok pabda, these fish are from Bengal.

Andrew can u give me ur mail id. I can mail a higher resolution pic to u even though i dont have another angle.
Whats the diff between Ompok pabda and Ompok malabricus?
I checked the id in Ranjit Daniels's Fishes of peninsular India and the description seems to match.
These fishes were photographed at SIA's Shop in Chennai. Though my interest is mainly in cichlids, i have a keen interest in Indian native fishes so will try n keep posting whenever a new variety comes up.
You will find some more pics of Indian fishes here:

I don't believe that is O. pabda, as this species has only 48-54 anal-fin rays. I count about 70 anal-fin rays in your picture, which is very close to that of O. malabaricus (63-69).

Hi Beta,
I think Heok Hee has answered your question about the difference between O. pabda X O. malabaricus.
I thought as much, SIA regularly gets these fish from Kolkata, and his suppliers source their fish from me. Fish such as O.pabda; Chaca; Hara hara & H jerdoni among others.
