Hi philtre, I've found a picture from my Catfish book by Midori Kobayagawa. I've tryed searching also and seems to have nothing on this name or species. Most properly changed or doesn't exist. Any hows here's the picture i got.
Your fish looks quite small philtre, is it? Fishbase lists the max size of Hypoptopoma carinatum at 7.6cm TL, so a young fish could have slightly different proportions.
And if Hypoptopoma sp.2 in the E-log isn't definately known from a different location, it may very well be the same fish. I certainly can't tell w/o any doubt as the pics of sp.2 aren't that detailed...
Sorry I can't be of any more help, but I'd consider it a good find anyhow.
