what will happen if you do not add salt with these fish will they get acclimated to it or is there something that will make them get sick or die. i have all freshwater fish, 2 shovelnose cats, pictus cat, rafeal cat, and a large pleco

Young fish are probably fine in pure fresh water. As they age, they require more brackish/marine conditions. The older fish may survive in pure fresh water, but they will probably be very disease-prone due to the stress of the unfamiliar environment.
