Different Cory Behavior

I am interested in getting some cories from the LFS. They have a couple of different ones like the peppered, sterbais, pandas, juliis, adolfoi but they are all 1/4-1/2" only.

1) Question : Can they all be put together in a 5 gal for the time being? I am looking at two weeks max. I am hoping to set up my 10 gal for them later. Also looking to get at least 2-3 pcs. per specie.

2) Are they easy to keep at this size? I am a bit worried.

3) Can they be kept together with my 3x1.5" cory aeneus? Are they peaceful enough to keep different species together? (I think that was question#1).

Thanks.

You shoud have no problems keeping them together. Cories are good in mixed species schools.

you should have no problem's behavior wise (as Heok Hee said) but I think 12-15 cory's is way too many for a 5gal.tank even for a short time.cory's are small but even in a ten gal. I wouldn't put more than 10 full grown cory's .and that's with out any other fish in tank.

15 small cory's should not be a problen in the short term. I would tend to go for larger groups of two species rather than 2 - 3 of each of the five. But that's just my preference

How about their small size? Will they be okay with that size?

With Panda's and Adolfoi i have herd that they can be quite chosey with water parameters. And in my opinion a small tank may cause problems with water quality.

Don't worry about the number of the corys if you have a good filter and always do the partial water change.
