Hi,
What other plecos can be placed in the same tank with an arowana?
currently i have a gibby with my arowana,
i've also tried the common pleco.
Can any other pleco be put in as tankmate for my arowana?
thanks.

Any large pleco can go with an arowana. A large Royal or a Sunshine would be nice.

I find Royal plecos easy to care for. I now have a 13 inch Xingu Royal. Royals are notorius for eating driftwood. My Royal grinds down large pieces of driftwood to rubble. Driftwood is definately part of their diet. I know there have been studies on the diets of Royal plecos. I feed my Royal squash, broccoli and sinking wafers as well. Like all plecos they need good water quality.

Hi squid,
I have some bigger plecos like royals, pseudas and smaller ones like L253, L177, ancistrus with my arowana and so far they're friendly towards one another. I think the important thing is to have enough hiding space for the plecos.
Thanks,

Any Plec that gets large, you could also go for maybe a Girraffecatfish or a Pseudo. Niger

Quite a bit late with this, but I know of an acquaintance who put a 13" royal plec in with his 18" Jardini. The Jardini took his time - and waited all of 8 days to kill the royal. With Osteoglossum plecs do quite well. With Scleropages, though, it's a different matter.

I had an 18" Jardini for a few weeks in with my 10" gibby. The aro wasn't very nice, so I sold him.
