HI All,
I've an 11'' RTC...and its a wonderful fish. Normally, I'll feed him feeders, & he'll gorge himself full..until he looks like a puffer. On daes when i'm too lazy 2 get feeders, I'll throw in cubes & cubes of Bloodworms. I'd like 2 know, wat should b the duration betw each feeder meal? Do I feed him on alternate daes, or should it b longer? Thanx!!

These cats no need to be fed everyday. For big ones, feeding them once a week should be enough.

There's no need to use feeders at all, since Asian Redtails aren't fussy eaters.
They can learn to take tidbits from your fingers, although with a large fish the learning curve can be a painful process for you.

On second thought I just want to check whether you have the Asian Red tail (
) or the S. American Red tail (
).
Personally I would feed even a large Asian RTC lightly every day or even twice a day, though others might not agree with me.
For a S. Am. RTC, once or twice a week. They don't need feeders either.

I actualli made a mistake in my posting..coz my RTC is the S.American one. But mine is only a juvenile of abt 7'. Is it ok 2 feed it twice a week? I dun wan it 2 starvr, neither do i wan 2 over-do it. Dun need feeders? Mine wun take anything, other than feeders or Bloodworms.
