Hello All, :)

I am new to cory keeping and I purchased these cories last week at a lfs. They were sold to me as C. Julli, but I can tell that two of them are not for sure. I have done a little research and thought maybe they were C. Schwartzi, but I can't tell. Too many of the cories look so much alike  I would appreciate anybody's help on this one. Also, let me know if the pics work or not. Thank you in advance.

Okay, I got my stunningly talented brother to set up a website for me.

In that first picture, it's a Schwartzii in the middle and a Trilineatus on the bottom. I can't tell what the top fish is. Second pic, two Schwartziis hanging out front to back. Your Schwartziis are waaay cute! They are one of my fave cories and are really funny together.

Thank you for you help Fiskars. I knew for sure two of them weren't Julli, but I wan't sure about the third. Trilineatus? That doesn't come as much of a shock to me. Apparently those are always confused as Julli. So I guess that means I got a deal on two and got ripped off on one. Oh well, they are worth it :D They have totally livened up my tank. They have forced the platies out of hiding - I think it was a shock to them. "Who are those crazy critters swimming around??"

I'm just debating now of buying more of them or sticking to my original plan and buy an angel and some cardinal tetras. :? Decsions, decsions, decsions. If you have any opinions, I'd love to hear them, but I think I already know what you're going to say - cories, cories cories!! Thank you again!

You must have read my mind, because I'm thinking "cories, cories, cories!" *L* I have 13 of various kinds and when they all hang out together it's so cute. :) I have found that my Schwartziis are some of the funniest fish in the tank, and yours look pretty fat and frisky as well. Good choice! The Trilineatus are pretty neat fish, too. Mine have gotten pretty big so far!

I don't know anything about angels or cardinal tetras, but looks-wise I'd vote for the tetras. They look so neat when they school together.

Thanks Ian. I appreciate you helping me out. Is there any special care I need to worry about? I feed them a staple diet of sinking food tablets for bottom feeders and they eat the left over tropical flake food I feed the platies. They also get treats of freeze-dried bloodworms and tubifex worms. I also just purchased some frozen bloodworms. These will make them healthy, correct? Their water perameters are basically the same as any other fish, right? I'm having a slight pH problem right now - 7.5, trying to bring that down slowly through water changes; looking for an ultimate 7.0. Is 25 Celsius an alright temperature for them? I know, every new person askes these questions, but I'm trying to be species specific here. If you have any suggestions about what I can do to make them live long, happy lives, let me know. Thank you so much.
