Black dots

Post by ME »

There are black dots on the top of my catfish's head but not little black dots ...kind of hard to explain.....sort of like in little goops of black stuff on his head i was wondering if it was skin parasites or fungis or just the way the catfish is. (they are flat bullheads)

Are they raised bumps? If they are, then they're probably fluke metacercariae (which are harmless to the fish). See this post.

Could be just random pigment spots, or slight bruising/scar tissue, which sometimes is darker than the surrounding skin.
