I am sure these are common corys but so many of them look alike I can hardly tell them apart. However, I have been told that this one is a C. trilineatus
and this one is a C. luecomelas
Is this correct?

Hi! I own both Trilineatus and Leucomelas and your fish look like mine. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think your fish are correctly named.

Oh good!
How can you tell the difference between swirly spots and spotty swirls!?!?!

It comes from intense training at the illustrious School of Spotty/Swirly Cories.
I just look through the Cat-eLog a lot and am on the forums all the time, reading what people have and looking at pictures. Some fish, like you said, are quite common, so when you see them often, you get to know what they look like. *L* If you look through the Cat-eLog at the cories you can see what a huge array of designs they have!
My C. Leucomelas, Freddie, is the fish on the far left in my signature. They are very cute fish!

They sure are cute! These little guys have tons of personality!
I have looked through the Cat-elog before. I was suprised at the variety of species, even plecs.
