Channels In here

Ok I have two 7 inch channels cats. Im wondering since there getting too big for my tank Im going to leave them in my local Pond. But the water there sometimes freezes Is it okay to leave them there.

DON'T DO THAT!! I'll take them man...dont let them go...you can introduce exotic diseases, a bad no no...give me them, I'll take them. Or if you want to make some money, try http://www.aquabid.com...see what happens.

wizkid, they are native to the area, they wont do any harm.

The fish may be, but not the diseases they may potentially harbor, especially if the channel cats have been living with non-native fish.

I agree. NANFA have pretty strict guidelines about release of native fish once they have possibly been exposed to non-native diseases. If you want to know more tap NANFA into a search engine and look at their web site (I think they're at http://www.nanfa.com).
