Take a look at my pics and tell me what you think please.
I'm also looking for a place where i can buy fish like red tail cats and stuff.

Just google pond building or pond construction. You will find a lot of places. Maine is a tough place for a tropical pond though. I have a couple down here in south florida and most of the fish can't go much below 60 f. I wouldn't evny you trying to house a 4' tsn during the winter. An rtc would be even more difficult since unless the pond is extremely huge, it would have to have a pond to itself. Eventually it would happen anyway
If you have specific questions, pm me.

i have a fairly big basement that is kept really warm, I'm not to worried about building up the heat down there. I know they get extremely big but i have ample room to build a tank just dont have the resources to build a take around here so i need to know where to find one to build it

Building a pond is not hard. You just need to build a box,put a liner in it, and add your filtration. When you say you don't have resources do you mean literature, or the actual lumber/liner/plumbing?

On somewhat if a tangent, how do you keep the humidity down from the evaporation of a large pond? I've heard it can cause problems.

I'm not sure you need to go online to find your fish. Red-tails have become practically ubiquitous at lfs's around here. Even the chains. They really get huge, though...

Try the link below. It was a pond set up by PeacockBass and posted a few days ago. He also has a link to details of the construction.
