Fat bellied Hyalobagrus flavus

One of our hylabagrus fluvus has developed a very large stomach. The extent of the swelling depends on how much the fish has eaten but has not returned to normal like its tankmates'.It has been like this for about 2.5 weeks. The fish has also taken to swimming upside down beneath a heaterguard and defending that site from the other two baggies in the tank. Otherwise the fish seems fine and is eating etc. We did wonder whether the fish was eggbound but the stomach does not look green. Anyone have any suggestions about what is up with the fish as we are wondering whether this might be a disease or possibly obesity.

What is your feeding regime like? If fed too heavily, Hyalobagrus tend to get obese.

Hi,
Sorry no pictures as we don't have any digi-camera
The feeding regime is quite high although the two other bagrids are quite slim. If anything I would have expected them to be fatter as they are more active in their search for food than the fat fish. Also the fattening only occurred after the second two fish were added. The tank also contains endler's livebearers so it is difficult to regulate food intake as the bagrids get a supply of live food every birth.
