Post by mickey3 »

What is the optimal pH and general hardness (dGH) for the South American Redtail Catfish? Based on the chemistry of its natural habitat. Assuming tank size is 2000 gallons.

They are fairly tolerant, I would aim for just either side of neutral, pH6.8-7.2. It needn't be too soft, this will help keep the pH stable.
