Otto Janierensis - Any info?

Post by mm1246 »

Hi everyone -

Went to the LFS to pickup 3 more ottos for my planted tank. They had some labeled Otocinclus Janierensis. I cannot find any information on the web. I know ottos are sort of hard to ID but curious if anyone has heard of this species.

I took a quick photo. Sorry for the algae. Little guy decided to pick a spot right in the one spot I didn't clean.

Thanks in advance. Just curious about if anyone has any info or if someone is making up names while having pigeons pick at the keyboard.

No such name exists, and your oto looks like the regular variety (O. vittatus).
