Small plecs and small tanks?

Ive had conflicting info about this and though I would ask the experts. Whats your opionion on keeping plecs like BN and Clowns in tanks as small as 10g?

Some of the smaller bristlenoses would do quite well in this size of tank. Something like . Larger bristlesnoses are too big for this size of tank. A clown pleco would be OK, but they might get too territorial if you try and keep > 1. Personally I would try some ; you could keep a group in such a tank.

i think my BN is an A. triradiatus. Would he do okay in a 10g?

He's a bit on the large size eventually, certainly you wouldn't be able to keep more than one happily and that is the real shame.

I have it in mine 50g currently. I was thinking about moving him to help with algae and to lighten the load in my 50g. Most likely would not be permament, at most for about a year :razz:

Ive read on the forum of people breeding them in 10g tanks. Lots of conflicting info. Was thinking about ottos for the algae but have heard they like bigger tanks and large groups. Would 2-3 of these guys do okay in the above 10g tanks with a breeding pair of guppies? Would only be keeping a one of 2 of the babies.
