Lasiancistrus sp.

Found something a little bit more uncommon. I believe it was imported as Ancistrus sp. from Brazil but this was the only oddity from the batch. I think Lasiancistrus sp. 'L033' but the spotter differs to me, and not sure that L number is truly different from L337 but L numbers being L numbers...
For some reason the photos make the fish seem more flat then it is, Pseudolithoxus like but it's certainly not.
I only got the one, I'm not really interested in breeding fishes and more interested in the morphology of fishes. I included Lasiancistrus in my masters so it's quite nice to have a personal individual.

Cool! It's it really so black? I like Lasiancistrus. They are on my bucket list.

Cheers, Eric

Yes, it's a really black even when stressed with the white spots. Shame there weren't anymore but I assume it might be a fish that pops up occassionally.

Is it definitely not - I can't really see the caudal lobes but maybe? IIRC, there aren't any described from Brazil but a few l-numbers.

Cheers,
