My second post! I need help ID with a catfish that looks similar to a Tympanopleura cryptica, but with a few differences. The body is shiny and has a visible spine on its body. I don't know why their abusive owner packed the poor fish in a plastic surprise egg...

Link where the species is found:

Not sure if I'm right, but this fish reminds me of , or a related species.

Cheers, Eric

I would agree with @bekateen on the ID.
The whole concept of exploiting live animals for views on the internet seems quite popular now. I prefer to stay away from most "fish youtubers" as a lot of them are quite abusive toward their animals. Don't get me wrong, there is a small list of people that do a great job taking care of their fish and only want to share their obsession with the public; however, this is not always the case.
