Netting and moving plecs

Post by Dude123 »

Is there any certain things to do that can make these guys easier to catch. I plan on moving my BN from my 50 to my 10 and was wondering if there is a way to make it easy to catch these guys.

Thanks

What you can do is get two nets. Position one about 10 cm/4 inches in front and then nudge him with the other net and hopefully he will swim straight forward and into your net then quickly, before he realises he is in a net, pull him out and grab on to him, not too tightly, but tight enough so he can't jump out. My Common Plec did that before and started landed behind my tank. I only just was able to reach the bugger!
REMEMBER: Don't grab the catfish if it has spines on his body like a Talking Catfish. Place your hand over the net so when it jumps up it won't jump out. It will hit your hand and fall back in.
