L144 and sp(4) origin/current availability

Post by Doug_AFK »

Was checking some info on the Blue eyed Lemon (L144) and found a curious statement that L144 died out and the current version sold in the trade is the black-eyed lemon bristlenose (sp 4).

As we don't have blackeyed lemon bristlenose in Australia (AFAIK), all our L144 are blue eyed, what is it that is traded do you think? I had always believed it was a true L144. Perhaps I am wrong?

The fish sold as globally, is A. sp(4). L144 had black eyes, not blue, there's more info on the species page.

Hope that helps,
