Hoplosternum punctatum ... "Spotted Hoplo" availability?
Is there anyone on this forum that knows if someone keeps Hoplosternum punctatum in the USA, and if anyone is breeding them? I would be interested in finding a decent group of juveniles to raise up into a small breeding colony.
Thank You, Brian

That price is outrageous for that size.Joshuakahan wrote: ↑10 Jan 2023, 23:55 Are you referring to these?

Guess it depends on if you can find them or not. But ya, his prices can be high, but it’s also one of the most reliable sites

Those might be the ones, didn't know there was an albino version although I guess I shouldn't be surprised there is. I will try contacting them and see if they happen to know the scientific name for those particular fish. From what I have been reading there are apparently several different species with the name "spotted Hoplo", so will need some confirmation from the seller of the genus species. Thanks, Brian

Those are probably Megalechis thoracata.
