white-spotted gibbiceps
white-spotted gibbiceps
I picked up a new kid at my LFS this week. He/she was labeled as a "white-spotted gibbiceps". The new kid looks like my other sailfins except for the color pattern which instead of having giraffe markings like my two regular sailfins he has whitish spots. I tried looking it up in the catelog but didn't have much luck. Does anyone have any ideas? I can attempt to get a pic posted. He/she is still a little antsy though and adjusting to life in the gourami tank. I'd like more info on the variety. Maybe what the actual name is and L number if it has one. Thanks a bunch.

I think that it is the glyptoperichthys joselimaianus. I just checked it out and the new kid has the spot pattern of that breed along with the build.
Thanks for the quick response everyone. I don't have any pics yet but I'll try tonight. I have my other plecs on my cheesy website. http://www.geocities.com/saltydapleco I have my big bad sailfin on there along with a couple others. Of course since then I've gotten another gibby and now the new kid. I only name my plecs and thats always with pirate names so I'm attempting to come up with a good one. Any suggestions?
