Re: Identification species and gender of Hemiancistrus
Looks like L200 Green Phantom, Hemiancistrus subviridis. Too young to tell the gender. I have L128 blue phantoms that are in the same boat, too young to tell the difference.

Re: Identification species and gender of Hemiancistrus
I can't tell from the pics, there's info on telling the two species of apart on their respective species pages. It is, as has been said, too young to reliably sex.
Hope that helps,
Jools

Hello,
I post a few months later with new photos. I want to find him a companion of the opposite sex. So, male or female?

Re: Hemiancistrus L200 sexing
Hello,
thank you for your reply. I found another specimen last week. I don't know his age, he must be 7-8 cm TL. He may be a little too young to be sexed. I still took pictures to try. He looks a little skinny to me, but maybe he's just a male? Unless I overfeed my fish which is possible.
Thanks for your help.

The new one looks male to me... I agree the first one looks female.
Take care,
Chuck
