Hi all,
Recently came across a stunning Xingu platinum that appears pure black and white. I've had an L27 Xingu for roughly 5 years now that is generally brown and black but does boost the contrast at times.
I'm curious if the "platinum" are marketing bs or if they are in fact a color morph/collection point variance.
For anyone here who's owned or owns an L27 platinum, did the white eventually turn to the traditional brown or do they retain the black and white striping?
Thanks!

Hi,
a lighter base colour is not that uncommon in freshly collected specimens, but does normally not appear among the thousands of juveniles that are exported. Do you have a picture of the specimen in question? The base colour can vary from white, to grey, cream and brownish.
