The end of the lockdown is in sight. By October we should be good to go with live events again.

If any young (ages 8-17) fishkeepers would like to attend Cataclysm but cannot afford registration, Cataclysm is offering four Youth Scholarships to encourage the growth and involvement of younger fishkeepers in the hobby.

Each scholarship covers one or two youths and one parent/legal guardian. Youths must be under the direct supervision of their parent/legal guardian at all times. The scholarship covers:

• All speaker presentations
• Catfish auctions on Saturday
• Vendor room
• Saturday night Bar-b-que.
• Entrance into Sunday’s "All species auction" (not just catfishes)
• T-shirt

Scholarships do not cover room or board.

P.S., These scholarships are different from the "Under 16 Package" shown on the Cataclysm registration page.

• The "Under 16 Package" is intended to help families with children attend without incurring expense for the children who are there because their parents are attending. The Under 16 Package is limited in what it covers.
• The "Youth Scholarships" are intended to support young fishkeepers who would like to deepen their knowledge of catfishes and aquarium keeping, but might not otherwise get to attend because either (a) the youth can't afford to attend, or (b) their parent/guardian (who may or may not keep fish) can't afford to attend in order to supervise the youth. The youth scholarships include the Saturday night BBQ and the T-shirt, not covered in the other package.

Good to see it's able to go ahead, not sure what international travel will be like then, I'd like to be there but will wait until closer to the time before I book anything.

Hi Eric,

If the reports I've read are accurate it looks like sometime in June I'd get the first dose, I believe in the UK we are still waiting around 12 weeks between doses, so sometime in September maybe for the second dose.

Fingers crossed things go smoothly and we can travel to events soon .
