is there a TSN x RTC hybrid already in the catalog? Is it this? ? I ask because the photo you mentioned Viktor does not, to my eyes, look like this particular hybrid, and yet I'm not seeing any other RTCxPseudoplatystoma hybrid on either the or pages.

I need to check the source of the image too. If it’s from where I think it is, there is very little chance they’d display a hybrid.

Yup, so this is from the Berlin aquarium. I don't know the curator these days, but it would seem odd they display a hybrid. Commercially I do know they have had a route to buy from Parana exports etc.

I don't see a hybrid in there but I am not used to looking at larger ones. Can you provide some insight on what are the telltale signs?

Yes, Eric, this is the right hybrid Cat-Log entry. If you are going by coloration an pattern, both evolve significantly over fish age.

To me it is easy to see image #8 is 100% TSNxRTC hybrid, way different from Pseudoplatystoma.

I will attach photos so you see it too.

I've raised several 3 and 3.5 footers and they look just like the one in photo #8, zero doubt.

For one, most obviously Pseudoplatystoma skull and snout are longer and flatter.

You've a better eye for this "species" than I, can't really see it in the picture in question. That picture of the real species in the blue background is fantastic - so a nice aside!

However, I can see a very different adipose fin. Will move the pic.
