My trilineatus cories decided to spawn apparently. Found 4 viable eggs, i think, as i can see developing embryos. Dunno when they were laid, they were in my floating plastic plants in this tank. The trilineatus are the only cories in this tank. They share the tank with cherry barbs, platies, and guppies. So definitely cory eggs.
Ive placed a container in the tank with the airstone inside. I do have a growout i can move them to once a little bigger (its currently housing platy fry). Added an alder cone as well as an anti-fungus thing as i dont have m. blue (i have malachite green though, but not cory friendly)
How far along would you say these eggs are? Are they good? I removed any fungused eggs i found inside the tank as well. Most eggs were either eaten (found empty shells) or fungused. Found 4 with embryos. All of them were in the floating plants, none on the glass.

They look about 3 days old. Could hatch any time.

I have some doubts looking at all 4 eggs together, only 1 looks any good...
And the trilineatus... the big one is one of my 2 females. Have 9 trilineatus total.

So the whitish eggs are okay? They were darker this morning.

White eggs are probably bad. But once a group of corys starts spawning, they will often do it repeatedly for a while.

Im wondering if theres any already hatched fry hiding in the tank.
I was hoping to breed my weitzmani, but hey, the tris wanted to jump the gun i guess haha... i expected my aeneus to go for it on a whim lol

Yep all 3 of the whiter ones were bad. They started disintegrating. One still looks very good and clear. No hopes but hey. Was a nice surprise to see the cories spawned. Ill be more vigilant checking the floating plants in the mornings. I expected them to lay on the glass. Instead they were all in the floating plants.

My local aquarium club suggested keeping the fry in a cup (with holes) inside of the small tub he is in to help him find food easier once he starts being fed. And makes water changes easier since he is contained.

Very cool. My Bronze corys spawned once but all the eggs were eaten.

Most of these ones were eaten too, probably by the other fish or the apple snail lol the odd few that werent eaten were nearly all fungus covered, only 4 werent... and of those 4, only this one hatched. Hes pretty lucky!
Hes still kicking. Cant see him eating but he at least seems to be growing at least. I can see his whiskers now.
Once he turns 7 days old, i will add a very small amount of sand to his cup.
These photos were taken outside of his cup during a water change.

Moved about 18 eggs to the container with an airstone. Put them on an indian almond leaf.
A poor snail was caught in the cory egg crossfire and i found the silly thing crawling around with an egg on his shell haha

I am currently at 95 eggs collected. But the female is still going.
I have them in another container with an airstone and alder cone, plus indian almond leaf. Inside that is also the older baby that ive had this whole time. They will be kept separate until the younger fry are given sand substrate too.

Chugging along well.
It always amazes me that if I have 10 fry, I have trouble keeping 2 or 3 alive. But if I have one fry, it seems to do okay. Phew!

Total count of hatched babies, now that every egg has hatched...
Mustve miscounted somewhere before, but got 67 babies, 68 if you count the older one
Ive moved all of them to the bigger tote with sand.
Will be fun trying to find them lol
