Question about NLS Algaemax for jumbo fish

Hi all,
I saw these NLS algaemax pellets for jumbo fish. The label states, "most pellets will sink." Has anyone used this food? Do some pellets NOT sink?
Thanks for your replies.
Cheers, Eric

Hi Eric,
Never used the food, but if you really want to make them all sink or have a favourite floating food you want to feed bottom dwellers you could always use a fishing pellet pump. That's what they are called over here anyway! You put the pellets and some water in the device and I believe it saturates them with water so they sink. They seem to be around £/$/€10 for a cheap one.

Thanks Marc.
I've never heard of or seen that device before. Interesting. I've boiled pellets in a little water before to get them to sink, but never this. And of course boiling is not good for other reasons too. I'll look into finding one.
Thanks,
Eric

It is possible to make floating pellets sink, using a syringe, like this:

I’ve used the food, but in a smaller size. It sank quite readily. I would think the bigger pellets would sink even more quickly.

I too use the smaller size. My older jar of 1 mm pellets just said sinking, not this. I wondered if the formula changed. Now I also bought a small jar of pleco wafers and they do say "most wafers will sink." I agree it's safe to assume they'll sink as before.
Cheers, Eric
