L010a red lizard whiptail
Hi all, just wondering if anyone can give me some info about these fish. My lfs has some and I’m thinking of getting a few. Water conditions, breeding etc. I have read somewhere that nitrate should be 10, and if higher they will get sick and even die. But that seems very low to me.
The ones I’m looking at are 6cms, so I think they need another 3cms before breeding age. (Correct me if I’m wrong).
So thanks in advance with any help and tips.
Cheers Macrae

Re: L010a red lizard whiptail
sorry for the lat reply... hope there not gone yet. red lizards are really easy to keep, there not to sensitive to anything but still keep them in as clean water as possible. I've breed them before but i forget what size, maybe 3.5 inches or something close. you will know when there ready to breed because males will get massive beards on the sides of there heads. the fry are really sensitive though
when you have a cringy video game name like me ->

No problem at all, thanks for your info. I actually ended up not getting them, they are from a store that i said to myself i would not buy from again. And when i made plans to get them they now said they were 3cm. So i changed my mind, it's not a very good store.
But thanks for the info, i will still buy some in the future if i see them in another shop.
