Corydoras Semiaquillus I. D.

Hello! Could anybody please tell me what are the visual differences between Corydoras Semiaquillus and Fowleri. I am asking because about 3 years ago I bought from 2 different lfs fish that were labelled Semiaquillus. Of the 6 that still survive 3 of them have chequered tails, the other 3 have clear tails. Could one of these groups be Fowleri? Many thanks.
