I've been breeding red lizards by the hundreds but lately some of the older ones have been losing the red color. I feed live brine and good foods like NLS, northfin and Cobalt. any suggestions

Aren't all red lizards hybrids, or at least artificially-selected, captive-bred color strains?

Yes, they are probably a line bred color strain. And they tend to get mixed up with a more brownish color strain as Slimeslayer10 stated.
Keeping a line bred strain at status quo will always mean to remove fish with unwanted characteristics from the breeding group. Only use the most beautiful ones to retain the color that you want. If you don't do that, they might revert back to their original or even a new color strain as there is always room for genetic variation.
