Beautiful fish! :-). Did you call Wharf to ask them the name they were selling it as?

Cheers, Eric

L142 does look very similar too, I always thought Baryancistrus had joined dorsal and adipose fins like the L200 'Hi-Fin', so I've learnt something new today!

Baryancistrus have a flap of skin between the last dorsal fin ray and the back, sometimes it touches the adipose, sometimes not, but the dorsal is never clear of the back.

Ahh thanks Jools makes sense, I assumed the flap always joined the dorsal and adipose fins, rather than joining the dorsal to the back.

Now I've looked at the pictures again I see it on L142 and Scraggs fish but not L201!

Does l 201 have brown line on the tail ? I have young L 201 and they have not this line!

From looking at the pictures on this site, I don't see any L201 with a brown line on the tail. You may be thinking of ? They have darker edges to the dorsal and caudal fins.

I see what you mean! I think that might be a reflection on the glass rather than on the fish.
